Darth Maul's fate was all but set the moment Darth Sidious stole the child away from Dathomir. He was indoctrinated into hate, and misery and death. Taught to dwell on his rage, sink into his pain and by the time he was free of the abusive hand of his master, it was too late. He only knew anger and hurt. He only knew how to harm.

But what if he didn't?

What if, by a twist of fate, that there was a lifeline for him to reach onto? Something that could pull him from the dark and away from the path that lead to the desert under the twin suns? If, in the beginning, there was another, that connected to his hearts... could he be saved from his fate?

After a horrendous attack by the Jedi on a sacred burial ground, Malidictus and his master face one another, after Vitiate perceived his students tactics as cowardice, and tries to execute him for it. But, after a nasty explosion, Malidictus is frozen in Carbonate, and three thousand years later....he is freed, and once he learns of the empire's fall, his ideals and goals, change. What will he do when he gains an apprentice, and focuses on reforming the once, great, empire? (This story takes a lot of inspiration from two other fanfictions from FanFiction.Net: 'Legacy of Jarik Shan V2: The Clone Wars.' And 'The Mandalorian Maverick.' (I highly encourage reading those stories). It also takes some parts from other fanfictions (mainly in certain chapters), however it will have MANY differences from all these stories and it will have my own flares of writing and overall a different plot for my character's journey through the Star Wars franchise.)
