"Femi," I jump after her and catch her bicep.
She whirls on me and shoves at my chest. I release her and fall back.

"And what about me? Will you order me to leave your side?" She snarls. 

"Femi..." I trails off shaking my head.

"No. You chose me and I, you. This is one of cons of that so we stay together or we don't stay at all."

I know she was trying to protect me, to love me, while I could feel myself inching closer and closer to the darkness, and I love her, loudly and proudly, more than I should, but that love sits right beside the hunger in me for power, survival, and vengeance, and I don't know which part of me she's feeding anymore.
