She brainwashed Valentine, she twisted his mind and made him obedient to the Fasci family. Made him think that Selene is his everything. That Selene is his world so he wouldn't leave their family. She stripped him off of his identity and branded him as their own killing machine, someone to do their dirty work.

In her blackened heart, Selene ruined his mind beyond repair.
