The girl always despised Potions and her professor as well. He was cranky, annoying, and never really liked any house besides Slytherin.
However, with her N.E.W.T.s coming up, she had to ask someone to tutor her for help.
Her friends were all busy focusing on themselves and couldn't help at all. So, finally, though she didn't want to, she asked Snape.
Through countless tutor sessions and a few cups of coffee, the two became closer and closer..
