There is something to be said about history repeating itself, although he never believed it. If he could help it, he'd do his damn best to avoid the agony of falling in love and the realisation that he wasn't ever meant for happiness.
But then history came back in the form of a girl with eyes that said she was suffering too, though her wicked smile contradicted the pain she hid, and it felt like he was being mocked by his past in the form of the rebellious beauty in front of him.
