Life seemed to be going Lyric Kain's way. She gets accepted into East Haven's Academy of Magic, the most prestigious school for sorcerers and sorceresses in the country, the school of her dreams. Her life seems to be going down the right path.
	Until there are students being killed at the school, and everyone's pointing the blame at her vampire boyfriend, Brandon, who's already faced enough prejudice as it is. Lyric's reputation as well as her relationship with Brandon is strained when the murders don't seem to stop.
	Then Brandon gets arrested and put on trial. Lyric has to find out who the murderer is before the love of her life gets convicted for something he never did.All Rights Reserved

While Aleksa tries everything to get over the loss of her parabatai and to get back to the institute in Montreal, she has to struggle with the Council and them wanting her to visit the City of Bones until the hearing. But her new won friends help her and Aleksa soon finds out the real reason she was held out of the investigations considering Annabeth's death and sent to Idris. The story takes place in an imagined academy, mentioned in the TMI books by Cassie. Since I love academies I had to write about a story happening here. But the story also sets in various places over the world and reunites some familiar places from the TMI books with new impressions. New characters are introduced and also some old and well-known characters will appear during the happenings.
