[TEMPORARILY DISCONTINUED] Estelwen is a half-elf who has lived long years in Middle-earth. Due to her complicated origin, fruit of a forbidden love between the gray magician Gandalf and an elf she never met, she had to be raised by other people and away from the eyes of the elves, for her own safety. Many dangers and terrible losses go through the life of this half-elf, molding her and making her choose exile, for fear of loving someone else and losing her to the arms of death. Until her father finds her at The Prancing Pony and invites her on an adventure. This is where our story begins.

[Completed. Words: 54.959. Pre-Hobbit setting] With broken hearts Dís and Thorin have to survive in a remorseless, cruel world. They lost everything. The two of them flee when orcs capture Moria. They end up in a beautiful place, where they are offered shelter unexpectedly. Dís is glad she can give her kids a safe haven, but she can't set aside her crestfallen thoughts, especially not when Thorin leaves her behind to search for their father. Again she falls in love with a man - the only one she trusts, but who doesn't fit into her world in which only misery prevails. Moreover she faces a devilish dilemma: she has to choose between the safety of her own sons and the well-being of the people that cared for her.
