Remember those stories you were told as a small child, perhaps by an older sibling or friend? Ones about creatures that lurk in the shadows just waiting to attack. They were told to terrify us and it would work. Sometimes you would lay awake in bed afraid to fall asleep, then a parent would calm you down and assure you that in no way were the stories real. You would then relax, trusting your parent's judgement. That's how things use to be, but only too late now have we realised those scary stories are very much alive.

Nova: Dad always told me, that I would find my love and never let him go. He said, that he would protect me; just like dad to mom until she was killed when he was away. Dad has never forgiven himself for that and it happening before my eyes. Now grown up, dad has sent me away to a bigger town. If anything twice the size of my home town. The Rogue pack I come from, branch out as far as the eye can see. Even into the town I now live in, so dad can keep an eye on me. Can't wait till he finds out, I found my mate. That should be fun talk. Austin: I have never like to play nice. Why would I play nice? I was the Alpha after all. I could have anything and anyone I want. I was also, the big boss of a company. Only problem now, I have found my mate and I want her all to myself and do everything to her. So why is she holding me at arms length? Could there be something I don't know? Could I lock her up, and have her all to myself, would that solve the problem of her holding me far away?
