Elizabeth Davis, daughter of renowned paranormal researchers Sophie and Edward Davis, and younger sister of the up-and-coming investigator Sarah Davis, was expected to do great things in the world of the paranormal. But things do not always turn out the way we want. Everything changed when on her 13th birthday, Elizabeth's mother, Sophie, disappeared in the middle of an investigation in England, halfway across the world from her home in New York City. Cursed with an almost exact likeness of her mother's fiery red hair and overly protective family, Elizabeth's plans of becoming a fellow investigator were abruptly finished. Although, this development did nothing to stop Elizabeth's yearning to continue, if anything, the disappearance of her mother only spurred her on. Now on the cusp of her 18th birthday, she faces a difficult decision, to stay in the safety net of her powerful family or to dive into the mystery shrouding her mother.
