mary 'contrary/connie' cuffberry is one tenth of the lethal gang, reprisal.

reprisal got its name from the countless number of revenge plans successfully executed within their gang. they are known to be merciless, and anyone who crosses their path will feel their wrath.

mary got her name form the old nursery rhyme "mary, mary, quite contrary", and connie is just short for contrary.

mary never used to be as dangerous as this, but a certain leader of a rival gang called 'wooden' (got it's name from the members having no empathy or sympathy whatsoever), broke her in many ways that even you, the reader, couldn't think of.

mary used to be romantically involved with the leader, known as 'big red' (he got his name from his 6"4 figure and red dyed hair), but that all changed one night. so she packed her bags and joined reprisal, knowing it's his rival gang and, well, to get revenge.
