This is a Danganronpa V2 AU where there is a new motive, The Hanahaki Disease. The Hanahaki Disease is a sickness where the victim grown flowers inside of their lungs due to one-sided love.
After, they will start coughing up more and more flowers. Here, they have three options.
1. Confess their love and hope that the person will return their feeling. This must be in a romantic way, a strong friendship isn't enough.
2. Get a surgery to remove the flowers, though when the flowers are removed, all romantic feeling for the person is removed as well.
Or 3. Suffocate and die from the flowers in their lungs.
Will our mechanic get through this with his loved one?
Or will he die because or him.

A glass heart starts to form when one confesses their love, and is rejected. The only way to cure a glass heart is for the victim to move on. If the victim does not move on, they will suffer for eternity as their heart slowly turns to glass and prevents them from feeling love at all. It's Just a Cough (AsaNoya) ~completed~
Hanahaki is a disease where the affected coughs up the favorite flowers of the one they love, left untreated it can kill in a matter of weeks, you can get a surgery to remove the root, however you will forget everything about your loved one, or never feel love again. More commonly people let it kill them, but this can be avoided by confessing, however if you get rejected, the condition will progress faster and surgery will no longer be an option. The cough will start with a few petals, then progress to the entire flower head, after that a bit of blood, and finally, the entire flower with the stem and blood. If it gets to that point, you likely have days to live. The condition progresses faster or slower depending on how long the love has existed and how strong it is. Some of the warning signs for the disease are high unexplainable fevers along with harsh coughing fits and trouble breathing, these symptoms only occur for the worst cases however, so not everyone will have warning signs. "Great" Asahi sighed with his head in his hands. "Just what I needed." When Asahi gets sick and doesn't recover it's up to him and a few others to figure out what to do before it's too late, only, he has a secret he doesn't want them to know. Some say secrets can kill, but this time it's far too real. (Disclaimer!!! Idk if this will end up being finished but i have the plot mapped out, so if it does get abandoned, i can tell you about the ending if you want.)
