Astrea has never lived a normal life. She grew up in a land of light and lilies and found herself in one of darkness. She has found to love the darkness, however, to relish it. After years of carefully studying the world, she finally steps inside, no longer an observer but a participant. 
    She quickly learns that she will never fully fit in, she will always be different. Different in appearance, different magic, different values. One day a creature made of shadow begins to follow her around the university, trailing her at every turn. When the creature unveils itself it is not what Astrea suspects.
