When Josie Stevens left home, she did so with her heart in tatters and a desire to escape the pain. Now she's rebuilt herself, as the leader of an elusive task force that hunts serial killers. She's strong, independent and ready for anything... except confronting Lincoln Sawyer. He's the only man who has ever held her heart. When she gets the call that her hometown is being hunted by one of her monsters, she realizes she's definitely not ready to face her past or the first love that haunts her. Lincoln Sawyer knows that his police force needs help. They need to catch the killer hunting in Fenelon Falls before anyone else dies. Bringing in an experienced team is the right call and an easy choice. Working side by side with the one who got away on the other hand, that might be harder than it looks.
