So first of all the story takes place during the period of "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" but I won't write it accordingly on what happens in the show like don't except the events of the show if happening here. So here the plot:
After Steve's death, loneliness was the only friend left to Bucky but unfortunately according to his therapist this lifestyle wasn't really healthy. Therefore when Sam came to him with a mission concerning a bad tempered brunette he took this opportunity as a way of getting away with his routine. And he was certainly not wrong since routine had no place with her. But neither of them saw coming the fact that they could be each other redemption.
