Its generations past Korra. Air bending has fully recovered since the near extinction. The spirit portals have been closed about fifty years ago by the last avatar, who was not a very good avatar. He left a bad reputation for young Charli, who now has to inherit the title of avatar. The world is falling into chaos after the last avatar changed everything, and many secrets lie unanswered. Mistrust is in the air and it's up to the new avatar to protect the world.
