Mission 216 on Nebula. Second trip to Black Hole 186. Rescue mission 16298...

Audrey Murphy and Stephen MacGlance are going to Black Hole 186 not to explore, but for a rescue mission. Audrey's husband, Pete, was believed to be trapped there, desperate for help. As Audrey and Stephen lift off in the safest spaceship, Nebula, Audrey wonders if Pete would approve of her choice to date Stephen. After all, there is no proof of Pete's life: Audrey and Stephen can only find out one way by going into the most dangerous black hole ever seen in history, Black Hole 186. Suddenly, Audrey loses everything. With the ship damaged and Stephen's soothing voice no longer by her side, would she be able to see Pete again, or would this all be a fatal mistake?

In a small, Positivist-controlled city, Gireiah Copeigh of Yun, a renowned astronomer and theoretician, witnesses a revelled and worshipped event of deep antiquity: a Vanishing. Of the twelve stars visible on the celestial sphere, eleven remain. Following the event, a strange yet deliberate phenomenon splayed across the sky--mysterious astronomical activities with perhaps principally scientific interpretations, or perhaps the chiseled, fleeting abstractions of gods... In this distant space and time, Gireiah sets out to find an old reclusive friend, an aid to help uncover the truth about the world's newly molested skies, as well as the purpose and mechanism responsible for the Vanishings themselves. The paths of others like himself cross, and in these trekkings, an awful truth of their universe is revealed. This is Exodus Nebula, a novella of about 55,000 words, or twenty-four chapters. The mannerism and syntax of the writing can be a bit... dense. You'll have to excuse me for that. This was never supposed to be a serious attempt at a completed story, yet here it is. At about halfway through, I decided I didn't like the mannerisms at all and that it would be better off as a story entirely rewritten. Instead, I kept up with it anyway and made amends nearer the end. It was a mistake now learnt. If you choose to read past, oh, chapter five, where the story begins to pick up momentum in my opinion, I hope you enjoy. I've included a lot of themes I find intriguing and attempted to make the world wholly open for the reader's interpretation--which was the intent of this project, more or less: a practice of worldbuilding. Thanks, and again, enjoy! Exodus Nebula Copyright © 2018 Brayden M. Fox All Rights Reserved Cover art by BMF

(Imperium Saga, Book 1) Know your enemy before you pull the trigger. Edith Stewart just wanted a simple life with her family. But, thanks to her twisted society, her plans were forced to change. Being randomly selected to be the test subject of a dangerous experiment wasn't her idea of a simple life, but refusing to cooperate puts the lives of her family in danger. But she was deceived. Her husband and son shot right before her eyes the moment before she's sent forward to a different reality. A future unlike anything she could have ever planned for. The Synthetic Revolution of Life, or the SRL, was the true result of the experiment. Synthetic life, people, have taken her world. It was the creators of the SRL that sent her here, and even though they've all been dead for 177 years, maybe their technology can send her back to before the world ended. Taking a direct stand against the SRL seems like a death sentence, but with the right friends, it's bound to get a little easier.
