Audrey Murphy and Stephen MacGlance are going to Black Hole 186 not to explore, but for a rescue mission. Audrey's husband, Pete, was believed to be trapped there, desperate for help. As Audrey and Stephen lift off in the safest spaceship, Nebula, Audrey wonders if Pete would approve of her choice to date Stephen. After all, there is no proof of Pete's life: Audrey and Stephen can only find out one way by going into the most dangerous black hole ever seen in history, Black Hole 186. Suddenly, Audrey loses everything. With the ship damaged and Stephen's soothing voice no longer by her side, would she be able to see Pete again, or would this all be a fatal mistake?

Before Mankind became the dominant force in the Milky Way, Earth was in shambles. Natural resources were nearly depleted, diseases were rampant and most of Earth's population was in poverty. Then by some miracle of discovery or a cruel cosmic joke, in the mid-23rd century when all humanity could do was go out into space to search for a new home, a small planet that was black as the void around it was discovered. The humans who landed on the little planet had nearly lost all hope until they stumbled upon unknown ancient ruins beneath the planet's surface where they discovered untold amounts of bizarre advanced technology. Earth and humanity were saved, and the little planet to thank for their salvation was named Umbra. Barry's life
Two people fall in love in unlikely circumstances. They have a lot of psychological issues and mistrusts in the order of things to prevent them from finding themselves and each other. I am a reader of crime novels and hard science fiction almost exclusively, and yet this story, which I have been writing for a long time, is a love story, I can't explain it even to myself. The characters will have to work through hardship and evolve to be able to surrender to the magical things around them and the flow of the universe and the love of other people. This story still is a work in progress, it has holes and it is to be continued
