To Vicki. Napravih me go! Obicham te.
Remi Corey's life has been little more than a series of unfortunate accidents. Her mom died. Her dad left. She's been keeping a terrible secret from her twin brother, Rome. But through it all, they've been together--the four Corey siblings, a matched set, unbreakable.
Until two of them go missing.
Suddenly, Remi's thrust head-first into a world that is not only alien and unwelcoming but in need of saving. Her brothers have been taken away from her, and to get them back, she must face everything--her past, her future, and (worst of all) herself. Will she manage to make it out alive, even with the odds stacked against her?
Or will her strange, ragtag band help pull her through?

"Um, can you repeat that? I can barely hear you." I was-as you can imagine-itching to get back to the essay that I was examining, as it was that of the person who'd been talking to Gabriel, and my fixing it could result in another conversation with him, which would be a welcome event, to say the least.
"Well dear, there's no easy way to say this. . . when was the last time you saw your brothers, Julius Jackson Corey, and Augustus Octavian Corey?" I furrowed my brows, feeling a little crease between them, but no longer caring if the emotions on my face were evident.
"JJ, Rome, and I dropped Auggie off at the elementary school this morning, and when we got here, Rome and I jumped out of the truck before JJ. We didn't check if he followed, though. . . I haven't seen them since then."
I dropped the receiver, and it clatters on the tiled floor, although my hand stayed where it was. Closing my eyes, I feel a tear slide down my cheek, leaving a damp trail behind it. My hand finally flopped to my side, and I began to shake uncontrollably, knocking my knees together and endangering my upright position.
The ground rushed closer, and the world blinked out.
