In the book, the story is told under the Princess Aw'u's point of view, how she was forced to marry a man she didn't know, a General and a Prince, once a poor boy, now one of the most powerful men, in the whole Empire.
I watched the show and I found myself thinking: what if we could read General's Xiao Qi's mind? How their love story evolved? His fears, his expectations on a marrying a young woman who doesn't love him, a true Princess whose heart belongs to someone else...
I do not own the original story nor the characters, I'm just paying a tribute to this amazing show, as a fan!
