I always thought that Lexie and Jo would have had one of the best friendships if they had met so in this story, Lexie was never on the plane. This shows how she is grieving the loss of Mark and makes a new connection with one of her interns Jo and as Jo helps Lexie through the grieving process, they start to realise that they may be more than friends.
