There once was a time when I had everything I could have ever dreamed of. And although it didn't last that long, I had been happy. Sure, I had scars. Both physically and mentally. I've been to war and I never thought I would return, although I prayed that I would. Using everything I had to stay alive and return to my girlfriend to finally ask for her hand in marriage. I'm a survivor, but not at the cost of other people's lives. Never. Turns out.... that choice was never really mine to begin with.... AN: I originally published this story, but decided to rewrite it since I wasn't happy with it anymore. So the story will be a bit different. I do not own "The vampire Diaries" any storyline and character that you recognize is owned by the CW and the writer of the vampire diaries books. I myself only own James Salvatore and his storyline and any characters that I may create. Enjoy the story and let me know what you think.
