hi, I'm Cassius Heath, I'm a 16 year old boy from District 2 and I've been 'reaped' for something called the 'hunger games' I don't know what this is but I know it's connected to the rebellions that have happened recently and this is supposed to be some kind of punishment

The very first games were an uncharted experience for both capital citizens and the fighting tributes. For this year, the cream of the capital were allowed to watch this incredible spectacle from the seating within the arena.

Weather: very sunny
Length of games: 4 hours and 46 minutes

After the rebellion of Panem lead by Katniss Everdeen, President Paylor declares one Hunger Games. But a different way. Six boy and six girls will be selected from the Capitol and do the Hunger Games in the 74th Hunger Games arena. The only big difference: no one dies. Each child, from 12-18 years old, will play until injured, not killed. Aria Bix, a young, 14-year-old daughter of an ex-Gamemaker, is chosen. Previous victors hold her fate as the Gamemakers. 5 days of training is all she gets for her life-changing event. Follow Bixby in her Games experience, the Games no Capitol citizen is looking forward for. *I do not own any of the original Hunger Games characters, only the ones newly introduced in this book. Akiria Cordella." I slowly made my way through the crowed and into the isle having to peel my own hand away from my best friend. Every step felt like my legs where made of iron. I ascended the steps to meet Cachinn. "Hello dear." She motioned me to stand behind her. Cachinn returned to the mic with the male's tribute name. "And our male tribute for district one is... Enzo liner." Not my best friend! -- This was it. Their names where drawn for the sacrifice. Panem needs an example and they are it. Brother and sister in the fight to death as punishment for something their father did. A band of kids fight to the death in order to survive. Only one must exit but at what cost.
