Mora Al'zath's only desire is to ride dragons. However, as a human the task is impossible. The Dycre (dragonriders) hold a tight leash on the humans, using them to harvest Ermion. The only thing that can secure the bond with a dragon. When Mora's foolishness lands her in the hands of the Dycre, she is forced into a world that isn't what she dreamed of. Mora tries to navigate through this new life, accidentally bonding with a dragon. If Duke Giyaus finds out there is a human in their midst, he will stop at nothing to hunt her down. Befriending the duke's son and the rest of his flight squad, Mora must decide if being a dragonrider is really what she wants.
