Waking up with no memories, a girl is forced to fight for her life in a horror building. Death nears, and she becomes even more alien, only to find she had a life before this disaster. But for all she knows, there is something sinister going on.

~ONGOING 1st Draft~ Trauma isn't something you're born with, so why does it stick with you for life? Why is it so bad I fear going outside? Fear people? Fear crowds? Fear speaking itself? I've never had much but, with time, more and more kept gradually being taken away from me; my dreams, my hopes, and even parts of myself. Now, the one thing I thought I'd never lose- my comfort. Everything in my life changes when those vile people cut me off, kick me out, and abandon me. Just like they did to him. They took away the last thing I had to bring me comfort- the four walls of my apartment. The only hope I have to figure out what happened to my family is to accept a not-so-pleasing offer and go against everything I've lived my life by. What could possibly go wrong? I never realised that everything i was feeling would somehow come to life. This is a story based on real life events and some fiction. Its up to you to decide what is real and what isnt. This story follows a girl who is constantly reminded about her bad choices and how she cant escape whats in her mind. Every time she feels safe, its taken away. So she decides to make a choice one that will either harm everyone she meets or will save her life. Are you a writer? Have you ever watched your own characters suffer...and told yourself, "It's just fiction." After all, they aren't real. They don't breathe, they don't bleed, they don't remember....Right? But what if they did? What if every character you abandoned remembered every wound you gave them...Every heartbreak, every betrayal, every death. And what if they remembered who wrote it? So tell me... If one day your characters took the pen from your hands. If your story began rewriting you. If you were forced to live every tragedy you once wrote for them... Would you survive your own ending?

(edit) I forgot to add that this started out as a confessional journal about becoming clean after a 10 year + addiction to OTC cold meds, but that was not my style of writing, I liked the material so I wanted to expand it into a novel length work featuring the journal elements. To say this work is a roller coaster would put it lightly. Although there are elements of time travel I would consider my sudden transitions reality travel. I use actual experience and dreams as a foundation, then toss in some fourth wall breaking narratives (meta-fiction), with a sprinkling of facts and quotations from songs and factual articles. It tends to be written similarly to an essay sans the boring. I have been influenced strongly by Vonnegut and W. S. Burroughs , and a wide variety of album rock, and that bleeds through. The tags dystopian and dark humor describe the whole piece best but there is a lot of genre jumping. I've done a good deal of research, not just for factual things but for the type of writing I do.
