Detailing the band's early years and early friends, this fic takes on the style of a series of VHS tapes, recorded by Courtney "Love" Cortez, the rhythm guitarist for a friend's up-and-coming girl group, an awkward music-producer hopeful, and one of Sunset Curve's nearest and dearest. She wants nothing more than to be a part of the glow that seems to surround them and their music. Spanning the course of the years up until the band's untimely demise, half of it follows Luke, Alex, Reggie and Bobby in high school back in '95, trailed by Courtney and her best friend Lina. The other half follows the enigmatic ensemble, Rose and the Petal Pushers, fronted by one (1) Rose Molina.

Oozing Chemistry
[Reggie x OC] Completed! On what was supposed to have been Sunset Curve's biggest night at the Orpheum, Bobby's sister and the boys' number one fan was there to support them, including during the infamous hot dog celebration gone wrong. Having been a less popular musical prodigy herself and sometimes a member of the band, Izzy follows her best friends everywhere, including when they're thrown back into the world in none other than Julie Molina's family studio. Excited to see another girl, the two quickly befriend each other, and the band is more than excited to have a chance to play with each other again. However, Julie and Luke aren't the only members oozing chemistry. Having been close before their untimely deaths and even closer now that the two can only speak to three other people, something ignites between Reggie and Izzy, but will the band's desire for revenge on Izzy's brother and Izzy's devotion to her friendship with Julie tear them apart? ☆Disclaimer: I do not own anything in this story, except for Izzy. Those go to Kenny Ortega, Netflix, and all the other amazing people who worked on Julie and the Phantoms!Complete

better than pizza | REGGIE PETERS
Harmony grew up with Sunset Curve. Their music was the soundtrack of her childhood, blasting through car speakers on late-night drives, dancing barefoot in the kitchen with her parents, singing every word as if it meant something. She knew the story. The band that could have been huge, cut short by a freak accident after eating tainted street dogs. But even years later, she never stopped listening. And while the people who knew them loved Luke's raspy, reckless energy or Alex's perfect timing, her heart always drifted to Reggie. Something about his voice, so warm and steady, calmed her down in a way nothing else could. Even when she could barely hear him over the others, it always felt like he was singing just to her. So what happens when she meets them? Really meet them. Like... ghost-of-a-dead-band standing-in-her-friend's garage kind of meeting. Turns out, they've been stuck here all along, unseen and unheard. Until Harmony and Julie. And while they all feel like old friends, there's something different about Reggie, something that makes her heart race and your chest ache in a way she can't explain. Falling for a ghost was never the plan. But neither was discovering that the music that saved her might be the very thing that binds her to a boy who doesn't belong in her world... and a past that refuses to let go.Complete
