Sherlock Holmes can only be described as a deluge of curiosities, despite being a man of his work (and only his work). Intrigued, Julia Ruth Fuller writes to him as often as possible from her drab home in Glasgow, living with her parents as a recently unemployed waitress, trying to make end's-meet. Upon hearing that her aunt, Martha Hudson, is sudden ill, she manages to scrounge up enough money and finds herself flying to London to be at her side. Before she knows it, Julia has to make sacrifices and face her fears, all in order to bring a stop to London's black market organ trade.Terminé

Sherlock Holmes is not a very social man. He's a consulting detective and the only one in the world, so by the process of elimination, that makes him the best. However, being such a detective doesn't leave much time for friends, or even romance. Well, until he meets John Watson. John Watson is a soldier who has just returned from war. He has a psychosomatic limp and he misses the war, even if he doesn't care to admit it. Naturally, when the possibility of sharing a flat with the world's only consulting detective arises, he jumps at the chance and instantly befriends the strange character. But it friendship the furthest that Sherlock and John are willing to go with each other? Or is the world-famous detective deducing new things about himself?Terminé

He was looking at Sherlock Holmes. Yet not the one he would have expected. Distinctive changeable eyes, lined by a row of long dense lashes, showed an expression of a wild animal standing in the glare of approaching headlights. Of a man driven into a corner. Simply expressed, an expression of pure horror, something you don't see on a famous consulting detective most of the time. John opened his mouth, but after a realisation that he has no idea of what he wanted to say, he closed it again. He wasn't welcomed by a mutilated, smashed face. The severed spine could be ruled out straight away, and he seemed to have all his limbs as well. He felt an endless relief when he saw solid, uninjured skin where the blood flowed the last time. Nevertheless, the scene he was offered tugged the carpet under his feet and he had to admit (if a bit grudgingly) that Mycroft was right-he did not exaggerate when warning him it might be a shock. Trigger warnings: This story contains references to violence and its description, and also deals with self-esteem issues and body image. If something triggers you, please proceed with caution or reconsider if you want to continue reading.
