this book needs some editing and last few chapters need to be rewritten as they aren't up to par and there are some loopholes in the story which I am working on.

Shattered Innocence
My heart pounded in my chest as I ran... I ran through the corridors that seemed to stretch endlessly. Blinking back tears that blurred my vision, I desperately sought an escape. If only I could get out and get the cops to help us. My trembling hand opened a large, imposing door, hoping it would lead to safety. He walked down the corridor, ordering someone to close the door that I had unwittingly opened, sealing me in this hellish nightmare. Hearing the door close, I snapped back to reality, my entire being trembling with terror. "Don't worry, love, you'll soon get used to it," he said placing a gentle kiss on my forehead. His callous words worsened my trembling... his kiss haunting, a stark reminder of the danger I was in, I felt an overwhelming sense of helplessness.
