It broke her mother's heart, because she only wanted people to see the true beauty within, yet here her daughter was, causing chaos and being a recluse. When Adonia is given the opportunity to go to Auradon, Circe is more than happy to send her daughter, wanting nothing but the best, but Circe can't help but be angry.
