As a child, Wei Wuxian had been rescued from living on the streets and taken in by the Lans. Being haunted by his past, he slowly got better in the care of everyone in the Cloud Recesses. One day however, he joins in on guest lectures and his whole world turns upside down.

"A canon divergence fic where WWX's a blind and a selective mute due to being raped and abused when he was on the streets as a child. Instead of being found by JFM, he's found by QHJ and is taken as a Lan disciple instead. Like LWJ, JZX eventually falls in love with WWX but can't act on his feelings for him because he's engaged to JYL."
