The silence in my mind laid unparalleled to the words once told to me. Cradled behind those who protected me for years. If only I knew what was to come of it. I trailed through all the scenarios in my head wondering which path would finally lead me to the most ideal world. None of which ever gave me the ideal world I envisioned for myself. I looked forward and backwards, but never any other direction as if I was somehow stuck on a two dimensional plane never knowing how to fully make it out alive. In front of me laid the future that I was set to go forth in, behind me laid all the mistakes of the past that haunted me endlessly. If only I was given a chance to breathe one last time; if only I thought.
