To me, Erkenci Kuş is the most mesmerizing story I've ever seen on screen, I adore Canem and always will.
After watching it a hundred times with spanish and english subtitles and after reading so many fantastic fanfiction stories here on Wattpad, I wanted to give my own story a try.

Mostly is about to try to understand how deep their feelings got for each other in a very short time, how bad jealousy can be, how it can hurt and how it can make a person act. I am quite romantic, so a happy ending is a must! And some sex as well, (as sex was not needed in EK but would have been appreciated, for sure) at least I will give it a try. =)
My story is definitely not so conservative as EK, characters are not being so traditional, it's about a more modern lifestyle.

My first fanfiction, so please, have that in mind! I am not english, but will do my best to use a correct english. Any comments, advises or whatever will be appreciated♡♥

Snippets of alternate outcomes in the lives and enduring love story of Can Divit and Sanem Aydin. When I started out with this story, I only intended to loosely base the 'short piece' on the events in Bolum (Episodes) 17 & 18 however, I got such positive feedback, I decided to stretch it out a bit. I'm still unsure how far I will stretch it but so far, I'm enjoying writing it and will keep going till I run out of steam. I can't think of any show/movie that I've watched in recent times to which I have reacted as I did when I watched Erkenci Kuş. The characters hooked their claws into me and wouldn't let go. I rooted for Sanem and Can; cried and laughed with them; railed at and cursed their detractors and finally rejoiced over their reunion. However, the ending was so rushed. After all the angst we were put through with their relationship, I felt robbed of an extended happily-ever-after. What we were given was too short. I hope to right that wrong, amongst others, with this story. Though I only watched the show in Jan/Feb 2023, I have since rewatched it countless times. There were certain parts of the plot which wound me up so much so this is me writing what I wished had happened. Enjoy!

A bit of a different story as I currently have lost my mojo for the serie EK. I am super upset about the cheap soap opera plot of Can losing his memory; well Sanem only which is even more ridiculous. I just cannot believe the writers come up with such dumb plot and waste opportunities for good ones by making Yigit go with a letter?!? WTH?? They built his character to be obsessed and he just sends her a letter??? What a waste, there could have been a great drama and Can saving Sanem. Same with Huma, there could have been a really emotional episode if Can had known what she had done. He still thinks Yigit is disabled because of him?!?!? So again why were these plots buried and replaced by some amnesia story. It annoys me because amnesia is such a famous soap opera plot that comedians when making fun of soap operas use this story, like in Friends, I believe Joe wakes up with amnesia in his soap... Based on the trailers, Sanem is going back to being silly and humiliated by the writers which is the reason I already stopped watching around episode 20 for a while. I have very little hope the 2 new writers, both males, will bring better plots. However, I still love the passionate couple that Sanem and Can form so I want to keep writing about them. Sorry I was so passionate above but I am deeply disappointed. This story starts at a book convention where Sanem represents her successful book and Can his own. They meet...

EK: Canem, impossible not to (A "Shorty", or...kind of) by Erilaguiri

Sanem lost her parents and older sister in a car accident when she was only eight. Mirhiban, the wife of Aziz Divit, the owner of the hotel where Sanem's father had been the manager until the moment he passed away, was a very loving and endearing woman; her heart almost broke when she found out about the little girl left behind and quickly organized for her to stay with her and her family. Her own sons, Can and Emre, were already teenagers; Can was a sweet sixteener and Emre...a grouchy fourteener, so a little girl to take care of was just what she needed. From the moment Can met this...tiny but so beautiful little girl with her big, dark deer eyes, he felt a very special bond between them. And, could be you also may need a bit of a naughty mind and it's absolutely a must to enjoy hot sex and lovemaking! If you don't...🚫DO NOT READ IT!🚫 (I prefer to let you know in advance, as in this way we'll save you time😏) I really love EK just as it is, but...what if we do add some hotter scenes? At least I've decided to give it a try, so..! 🤗 I will take one scene (or two or three) from each chapter, turn it hotter somehow and, probably, I'll have to change the storyline a bit, as to make the "hotness" fit in. With other words, whatever was impossible in EK, will definitely be possible here. (Please, have in mind that the options are limited when it comes to where they are and the circumstances, so if there is similar sex in different chapters...I'm sorry about it, hard work to come up with new things in each and every one 🤷🏼‍♀️) There are a few chapters of EK I have seen only once or twice, "the boring ones", but I have seen most of the others a hundred times each. There will also be a couple of chapters with no possible scenes to turn hotter, I hope you'll understand that, too. In my other stories I always managed to write chapters with at least 3500 - 4500 words each; as those stories came straight out of my head, it was quite easy to keep up to that, but now...I still don't know. However, he can't ever imagine giving up his freedom for love. So is his amnesia a blessing in disguise, a way to claim back his life and love of freedom or an error he has to correct. A clash between two men in one body. Sanem's Can, who would give up everything for his love. The one ready to get married, settle down and start a family. Can Divit, the lonely Albatross who values his freedom above all, dedicated to his camera and spreading his wings discovering all corners of the world. Falling in love with Sanem isn't the problem, the question is will she accept this version of him. Or will she choose the memories of the past over the new memories they could create together. How does Sanem cope with these two men? Will she fight to get her Can back or try to understand the Albatross a little better. She is sure of only one thing, whoever he is today she will always love him. Her Can or the new Can. Sanem has to decide whether or not she is ready to go down the path of new discovery with the Can who doesn't remember her. However, the memories of their past love are so important than her, maybe too important. Will she stick around or save herself the heartache. I really loved EK up to episode 19, after that, they made Sanem act too childish, awkward and unworthy of being a strong and intelligent woman. From then on, and especially the scene at the hut where Can lost it, I almost felt insulted that a young woman could be portrayed in such a weak and stupid way; and that she would blame herself after a man would treat her with so much violence and disrespect. I am slowly learning to like the character of Can again but mostly felt the need to write my ''dream'' version of EK after Sanem tells Can ''you have decided to leave, good bye''. I like happy ending don't worry, but Can won't have it easy!!! I own no rights over characters, and I am not a frequent writer apart from uni and work assignments/reports😊 oh and I am not a native English speaker. Yigit is not Polen's brother in this story, because it was utterly RIDICULOUS!!!! Lol

This is an AU story inspired in the original dizi of Erkenci Kus. I had some ideas to many open points that where left without a reply. I missed a different approach to some of the characters like Yiyit or Huma or even Ayhan and why not Derem and Cey Cey. In my thoughts they deserved another end at no way these characters had a fair exit in the story. However to make things more interesting and amusing I have just come to the idea that Mr. Wrong should be around and we shall see what happens with all of them. So some characters and things and could be slightly different from orginal serie. I beguin after Can leaves with Polen to the Balkans and Sanem remains in agency and is working at her book already with Yiyit. Another note, the famliy Divit has 2 sons Can and Emre and a daughter called Lale. This is my first story and Im not experienced in writting. I haven't got the rights of the characters from the original story.
