The events of "Trash of the Count's Family" intervene with his desire to live and pass away peacefully, and so he cuts off the complicated relationship the past him and the original Cale Henituse had before the storyline commenced. From then, he strategizes to gain wealth and power whilst trying to find ways to exclude himself completely from the coming war.
Yet he doesn't know what to do when the transmigrated Cale Henituse seeks him out.            

Cale expected a lot to happen once the Demon of House Eldium was by his side.
