"Welcome to Plastic Beach." Murdoc grinned as he stretched his arms over the back of the couch. He crossed his legs.

"Fanks' I guess." 2D was tired and just wanted to sleep.

"I had you shipped here so we can make music again. I've got some stuff in the works- possibly a whole album." Murdoc's leg bounced up and down.

"I knew that you would object to come here on your own so... I took another route. I had a friend get you here." Murdoc explained.

2D put his head in his hands. He sighed.

"I don't wanna make music Murdoc-" 2D was cut off.

"It's not really your choice anymore, Dents." Murdoc chewed his bottom lip and stared at 2D.

While looking for a bassist to temporarly replace murdoc he ends up meeting ace. At first the two are just friends and bandmates but in soon enough time the two become much more then just bandmates. FYI just to clear up confusion. These first of all are my comfort versions of the band. And second of all this is in no way following canon so if you don't like that i'm sorry. Memory!tale and comfort!village are worlds made by me!

this is a 2doc angst fanfic that takes place sorta near/in Plastic Beach and basically this is how I think Gorillaz would go/might have gone if 2D didn't come back for Murdoc in The Lost Chord (if you haven't seen it music video you'll need to watch it for context). basically Murdoc is gonna be holding a grudge for a long time lmfao. This is not one of those "end of Gorillaz" fanfics though because I hate that shit :) there's also a LOT of random 2doc drama mostly because Murdoc is *himself* so yeah ,I hope you enjoy! <3
