Bristol Maxwell wanted one thing after her grandparents died, freedom. Her parents died when she was 4 leaving her in her mothers parents care because her fathers parents were deceased. After the death of her grandparents she was forced to live with her Aunt Lilly and Lilly's abusive husband who sometimes pointed his anger at her. The only relief Bristol had was her job that only she knew about. She was shy and never spoke to people first, so no one even knew her first name where she worked. She makes good money and is saving every penny to leave Oxford, Mississippi and have the freedom she has always wanted. Since working at Tripp Enterprises, she has been having these weird spells where she zones out for 24 hours. No one misses her though and never asks questions about where she was. All she knows is at the end of every spell, she finds herself on an abandoned bridge a mile from her home. She goes back every day but can never seem to remember. Little Lizzie was just five year's old when her mom passed away from cancer, now being raised by her father.
They were a happy healthy household until one night a horrific storm changed their dynamic drastically.
Lizzie had alway's been afraid of the noises that the storm's made outside her bedroom window so she would alway's hid in her, Daddies bed beside him to feel safe.
But this one particular night was different. This one particular storm changed, little Lizzie's life forever no longer able to trust or depend on men because her, Daddy had changed in that one single night.
I felt my, Daddies finger's creep down my arm as I laid beside him afraid of the scary monster's outside. He never used to touch me. He used to be my safe place. I felt his fingers slide under the hem of my Jammie's.
"Daddy!".
"Shhh, Peanut". "Be a good girl for, Daddy".
"But I don't like how it feel's, Daddy". "Please don't hurt me".
He doesn't answer, he never answers. Just continues with what he's doing as I lay there sobbing.
Now at the age of eighteen how will, Lizzie navigate through life. Will she be able to deal with the whisper's and watchful eye of everyone around her, judging her?. Will she be able to find love after the torment she went through growing up?. Will she get past the nightmares?.
