What if you're born unlucky? Waiting for three bad things to happen everyday of you're life? Thats what its's like to be me, Jason Monroe. But one day this unlucky-ness sorta stops. But then I die. I was having a normal halloween night, nothing bad happened all day then BOOM, I'm laying in an alley, sticky with my own blood, and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. But then its gone. After a scary conversation of the Angels and Demons I have to stay on earth collecting souls with the Grim Reaper himself for a year. Apparently I'm too good for Hell but not good enough for Heaven. Humans are quite possibly the lowest level of life from what I can tell. They just come and go as they please, destroy what they please, and contain unknown beings like me for "the safety of humanity." Yeah, right. And they're also pretty stupid, judging from how easy it was to break free from those foundation fools holding me captive. And now I'm stuck controlling a human body (that does NOT like to cooperate, mind you) while I complete my final plans for the human race. A haunted mansion. A vengeful ghost. A group of Gen Z idiots who refuse to be scared. When six friends get locked inside an abandoned mansion, they expect jump scares, creepy whispers, and maybe even a dramatic exorcism. What they don't expect is a ghost on the verge of a breakdown. Centuries of perfecting horror, and these kids? They're laughing. One asks if the ghost takes Venmo. Another challenges him to a staring contest. Someone starts live-streaming. The ghost is furious. He cranks up the haunt factor....flickering lights, slamming doors, demonic whispers. Nothing. Desperate, he resorts to possession. Bad idea. Now he's trapped in a teenager who refuses to do cardio, and the only way out is an exorcism. One problem: nobody ordered a priest. With no escape, no exorcist, and no sanity left, it's a battle of wits between the world's most exhausted ghost and a group of survivors who, quite frankly, have survived worse (like slow WiFi). Who will break first? The ghost, the kids, or reality itself? One thing's for sure, this haunting is about to be pure chaos.

Highest ranked- #10 in action 2/16/2017 A promotion. That's all I wanted. I didn't want to run for my life. I didn't want to be kidnapped. I didn't want to face death. I didn't want to find out my whole life was a lie. I just wanted a bloody promotion. Guess fate had other plans? **** The cold air fanned over my face as I opened the door. The exit door lead to the back of the building so it was pitch black. I leaned against the wall trying to control myself. Blood was running down my arm and head. My hair was stuck to my face from all the sweat and blood. Everything was spinning around me and the ground seemed like it was shaking. Groaning I sat down and put my head on my knees. He knows who I am. He knows how I look like. He knows where I work so possible knows where I live. I am not safe anymore... no where. While I was in my own world I heard faint sounds behind me but I didn't bother to look or run away. The footsteps got closer and I was pretty sure it was Walker's men. I should run. I should try to fight. But what's the point in trying to run away? He would eventually find me and if he has his way he would most likely kill me. If this is my fate then why am I trying to fight it? I felt someone harshly grab my waist and pull me up and I complied. They dragged me down the alley and into the busy street. I heard the opening of a car and the next thing I knew I was being thrown into a car. My head hit the hard leather seat and the door shut behind me. Maybe this is how my life will end. Maybe I should just let it happen. Maybe I was destined to die alone as a no one. With that I let the darkness consume me.

One of his hands slides underneath my dress and between my thighs, trying to separate them. I press them together harder, and see his facial expression-It was dark, he was clearly getting aggravated at my defiance. His fingernails start digging into my flesh, as I let out a weak sob. My voice seemed to have left me as the world around me became nothing. Was I going to accept this? Eyesight blurry, I become dizzy- intense nausea seeping in. I hope I throw up. I hope it disgusts him enough to leave me the hell alone. What if I get away and he follows me to my mom? What if he hurts her? As soon as the panic comes, it leaves. Had someone finally heard my screams and pleas for help? The old man is knocked off of my body in a blur, and I take this chance to crawl away from his hunched form; My bones aching from the hard, dirty floor. I reach the brick wall, and let myself fall limp on a patch of ivy. I suddenly feel tired, my energy was draining. I feel a heating sensation warming up my chest- spreading like a wildfire; My veins turn a glowing citrus, orange color- but it quickly goes away. Did I see that correctly? Although, the weak feeling doesn't go away. I shut my eyes momentarily, only to reopen them to fill my curiosity. I don't see much because of the black blobs coating my vision. The veins on my arms have went back to their normal blue, as if I hadn't seen them turn any odd color at all. Maybe I was hallucinating. I was only able to witness one thing, and I had a sinking feeling that I probably shouldn't have watched. I was able to spot out a masculine figure grab the old man by his neck, and what I saw next shocked me to my deepest core. His eyes turn an intense silky red as his fangs come out quickly and he gives an evil, intimidating smile. "I'm gonna enjoy this." He states in his low guttural voice as he reaches forward and rips the old man's liver out.

I knew it... coming to this expedition was a big mistake. I don't want to die... what's worse is I might get eaten when I'm dead. Hopefully I won't get eaten alive. I'm just a common grim reaper. Why is this happening to me? There was blood everywhere and I was on the ground. The entire team was decimated by those traitors. Everybody I know in the squad is gone and my master has fallen. I can't move my body and all I could do was lie on the ground until the boss of the traitors approached me. He grabbed me and lifted me up as I approach death. For a god of death like me, dying is not a part of my résumé. Once a god dies, there is no reincarnation, there is no soul, and there is no second chance, just oblivion so... How did it end up like this?

There's not a lot that can freak me out in this world. Only large animals with sharp claws, too many people touching me, bullies, hives, horror movies, sitting underneath fans or lights or anything that dangles from a ceiling, glass or wooden bridges, my mother, mosquitoes, public situations, taking a shower with nobody in the house, taking a shower with too many people in the house and crocks. Oh, and zombies. Zombies is definitely on that list. It's almost a shame too, that I have to race through a city packed full of them to find my missing family. Packed full of zombies, by the way, not crocks. (Although I don't know which situation is worse.) Now I have to not only keep my feeble body alive, but also protect (or be protected by) my two best friends in the entire world as we all try to survive in a city packed with the Dead.

You know that saying that goes like 'things don't always work out the way you planned'? Well I know that saying very well. It is the only thing that can explain what is happening and why my whole world has been flipped upside down. I'm part of the revolution, I've always been. The king of our little land called Terrian is oppressive and crooked, making the rich richer and the poor poorer. Although he doesn't like using the word 'poor'. People like me are referred to as the 'unfortunate'. As if luck had anything to do with our situation. So how did I get here? How did I go from being the most wanted criminal in Terrian and supporting Jack in his effort to kill the royal family to a guest in that same exact royal family's castle? The only answer I can find is the young prince who, despite his horrible father, gives me hope. Hope for a better life for the unfortunate. Hope for a better ruler. Hope, a thing I barely even remember feeling before. But I can feel as well as see the revolution stirring in the streets right outside the castle. A revolution I helped create. A revolution that was planning on killing the only thing I had faith in anymore. I couldn't let that happen. So let me tell you the story about how I, the notorious Kingdom Thief, got stuck in the middle of this war.

All I want is to be alone. I wish that no one existed. My name is Zeina. I don't talk much. Not at all actually. Well not really. I sign or write things down in my notebook. I can speak. But I really only speak to those I trust. Today I'm gonna die. Don't feel bad for me, I am choosing my fate after all. Im tired of living. It's exhausting really living up to your own expectations and the expectations of others. I'm sick of shaving every inch of my limbs, plucking my eye brows, doing my hair, getting dress. Honestly I'm sick of people. My hair is long and dark brown with blonde in it. I have bangs that hang over my face and ever so slightly across my eyes. I don't have friends. My family sucks. So if you're reading this I have a question for you. Are you an outcast too. Everyday I come home from school, take sleeping pills, and go to sleep. Now I just want to sleep. Infinitely. I was walking through the worst part of town - and may I add, in the dark. I was almost home...so close. Before I knew what was happening, I was witnessing a murder. Horrified, I tried to get away, but it was too late. I was taken hostage by a man, let me restate that, a monster. Will I ever be free again? What happens when he isn't who I thought he was? What happens when the monster turns out to be someone I could never have guessed?

Most of the basis for this story came from them, but I did all I could to make my story a departure from a lot of the major events that happened within all of the MCHC series.
