If she could properly recall the incident, which was unlikely, then she most likely had attempted to utilize her Viking axe as a can opener. She desperately needed the baked beans within, all caramelized in their maple-bacon juice. Unfortunately, the axe proved too cumbersome and her fingers too large and beefy to deftly maneuver the Honor Weapon as Ivy, the famous Tik Tok star, had done. But boy, did it hurt.

As she reminisced on this pleasant experience, Leora cursed as an earthquake chose to strike the nursing alcove at that very moment. So this is how it all ends. The earthquake happened to pulse forward on a decisive path-one that led right to Leora's doc martens."
