Life has the power to give and take however much it sees fit. Sebastian Yoshida knows this all too well

He overthinks about this a lot: He ponders about companionship and how fragile life is and how one has absolutely no control over what gets thrown at them. These thoughts haunt him and eat at him constantly.

Luckily he has a person who swears his sole purpose is to bring Sebastian down from the existential high he so often finds himself getting lost in.

That person happens to be his best friend since childhood, Jaehyun "CJ" Park-Carter.

But Sebastian always wondered what happens when childhood friends get thrown into a situation so complicated that it would prove to be difficult to make it out with that friendship still intact.

He's never been eager to know the answer but he might be forced to face the ugly truth when a dangerous game of pretend spirals out of control.

//

Two best friends try to navigate life and the aftermath of parents not seeking therapy to heal them from their traumatizing youth in a game of "let's see how long we can pretend to be in love before realizing we're in love"
