How I Got Slapped in Public

This is a short story based on a real-life event about a hopeless romantic college boy in Manila struggling to finish his research paper by interviewing an executive of a particular company. After he was done, he fights his way through the heavy rain in the busy city of Manila and into the overly crowded bus.

While getting through the hellish traffic, he finds himself stigmatized by a beautiful girl who just got on the bus and stood beside him. He struggles with whether or not he should speak with the girl. With the best of his knowledge and belief of speaking with a girl, the outcome of the story was unexpectedly shocking.
