I'm moving to Omaha, Nebraska today because of an announcement my parents made about a month ago.
I remember the conversation like it was yesterday.
"Kelsey!! Mom and Dad want to talk to us!" My annoying big sister Cassidee screamed.
"Coming!" I yelled back down to her.
I ran downstairs as fast as I could because these conversations don't happen often. My parents were standing in the living room while Cassidee was lounging on the couch. I plopped down onto the couch as they spoke.
My mom spoke first, "Cassidee, Kelsey, you both know we love you so much and that we would NEVER blame you for anything. You two are the most beautiful daughters ever....." I spaced out for a few minutes while they explained how they loved us and crap.
I figured it was just a "parent talk" as my best friend Amber called it, until I heard a horrifying sentence I never wanted to hear. "Me and your father are getting a divorce. You, Cassidee, and your father are moving to Omaha, Nebraska.
