This short story is written in part with E. L. F. Cosmetic's #EyesLipsFierce story contest.
For far too long, women have had to fight for the right to be treated as equally and fairly as their male counterparts. This piece is a homage to not only Shirley Chisholm but to all of the courageous female pioneers who broke barriers and paved the way for me and all future generations.

I sense the rumble of their storm and feel the fury of their revolt." ― Thomas Sankara, Women's Liberation and the African Freedom Struggle) This story starts in the mid-'70s when South Africa was experiencing democratic change; it mainly focuses on the challenges that women faced, from not being considered economically valuable to not being provided equal opportunities as men to being faced with discrimination, lack of legislation, tribalisation, segregation, and Domestic issues. This story takes us on a journey of how cunning a woman can overcome all the barriers that hold her back and how she becomes a Cunning Venus. All characters in this story are fictional, and the storyline is not based on the exact historical event.

Her only worries are the temper of her little sister, Jaylyn, and the fear of disappointing her parents, the King and Queen. However, her views are tampered with as she is kidnapped and pulled into the lifestyle of pirates where she is exposed to the class discriminations, the poverty, magic and the raw power that people, especially women, can have when driven and determined.
