Have you ever thought about just ending it all? Wondered what would happen after it's all finally over? Would they pity you for being "weak"? Would they martyr you for being "tortured"? Those thoughts are the only reason I'm still here to tell you all this. Or... Maybe I'm not. maybe this is one of those stories... "Lila, we are so sorry for your loss," another sullen, nameless relative consoles me, "Your mother was such a wonderful person." "It"s really a shame," they say. "I can't imagine how you're feeling," the young ones whisper. Questions-question- Hundreds of fucking questions. They all boil down to a single word: Why? Why did she do it? Why did she want this? Why would she leave us? Why? I couldn't answer. They'll never understand; not like I do. She pulled away, cut herself off from all of them.
