When Cameron is sent to the 1994 prison world for a crime she didn't do, she meets Kai Parker. Along the way Cameron realizes that her and Kai aren't so different. They may even be too much alike.....

"Why'd your family send you here?" I change the subject. There was so much more I needed to know about him.

"Why'd your family send you here?" He responds.

"I asked first."

"Congrats." He claps his hands.

"You know when someone asks first that means you answer first." I spoke slowly, so he would understand. The tone of my voice reminded me of my teachers from elementary school.

I hated how they used a fake nice tone. Especially when you didn't understand something. They never even helped. All they did was repeat the question on the paper slowly, like that was supposed to make me magically understand the question.

"Fine." He sets his utensils on his, already cleared, plate. "I may or may not have murdered my siblings." He shrugs nonchalantly.

"That makes two of us." I sigh.
