Everyone is always watching. ✄ This is my submission for the writing contest by @fright ✄ The mature tag: violence and self-harm subject matter. This story does not seek to glorify these two controversial issues, but is more of a cautionary tale. Warning advised.

There's something about 3 AM. A silence too deep, a darkness too thick. Even the birds in the ceiling know to hush when it arrives. A new home was supposed to be a new beginning. But the shadows are watching. The tapping never stops. And when she finally dares to look, she sees something she was never meant to see. Some thoughts are too dark to escape. Some whispers are too familiar to ignore. And some reflections should never be trusted...
