When Bonaparte took control of France, he had the decency to try and take over the rest of Europe. The Romans tried to make the whole world a part of their Empire. The Portuguese stole land from their fellow Europeans by ignoring a treaty they formed. 

What I'm trying to say is, when a country becomes the big bad of the season, they try to take over the world. That's what happens, that's what they're supposed to do.

So, why did The United Kingdom close itself off? Why did they decide to become a North Korea sized China? 

It doesn't matter, what matters is that Dalia only wanted to spend a normal vacation with her family while watching the Olympic Games in France. She didn't want to be captured by English terrorists. She certainly didn't want to be taken on one of those Slaveships that seems to be making a comeback. And she definitely didn't want to be forced to work in a sweatshop while only having the memories of her loved ones to keep her going. 

It's funny really, she was always the one making fun of the people trying to survive on those post-apocalyptic TV shows. Now she'll do whatever she has to come back to her family. One thing she did learn from all those stories, though: don't be a hero, just keep your head down and survive.

This is an attempt to mix comedy with tragedy. Some content is quite heavy, like cancer, depression, sick patients...etc. So prepare a tissue, just in case. I wrote and posted the first 3 chapters 4 years ago, yet due to my stupidity and insensitivity, I lost a dear friend over this story, which I regretted deeply. The idea was first inspired by another friend, who gave me some first hand experience of a cancer patient. Can't thank her enough. It's totally my fault that this story was delayed for so long. It's simply too good to waste, and not fair for her priceless contribution. There are also various things inspired by different friends online, who once bared their souls to me. Sincerely appreciate their friendship. It has totally 8 chapters. Each one has about 2000 to 3000 words. And feelings build up when Soleil goes to NorthFields Academy for a month and a half to complete the exchange program. What's worse is that those football games would be more often and both schools would be playing against eachother. The worst thing is that Elias and Soleil are assigned together for the program, meaning they have to spend more time together. Soleil soon realises that what she feels for Elias isn't hate, its something more than that. But she can't do anything, can she? He is her brother's rival after all.

Like how maybe Gaston might have had a kid who had to grow up with only one parent cause the Beast killed Gaston. Or maybe how Dr. Facilier might have had a daughter, but since he was locked in the shadow realm he never got to have that valuable father-daughter relationship with her. What if Disney is hiding something from us. The story of these kids who had to grow up without a parent or with the burden of being teased because of their lineage. Well, Disney, you may be good at making giant Marvel timelines and making us cry at the end of EVERY Disney Pixar movie. But I'm good at revealing your secrets.
