Not everything is always what it seems.
My name is May James. I've been locked away my whole life. I don't know what it's like to have a friend, or a brother or a sister, or a pet, or anything. My life is one big secret.
I live here in the big city of New York, but that changes once my father is transferred and we move to North Carolina. I never asked for this at all. I just wanted to stay in one place, live there, grow up, hopefully have a family, and then, die.
But lets see if everything changes.
And I was right. Everything has changed.

You know that saying that goes like 'things don't always work out the way you planned'? Well I know that saying very well. Have you ever had one of those terrible yet annoyingly pivotal moments? You know, that monumental fragment of time that flips everything you have ever known. That plot twist second that completely takes you by surprise. The one just before the storm hits and everything goes to hell. Yes? Because you see, that moment happens to be my whole damn life. It wasn't always like this though. I used to have a pretty mundane existence, happy to just get good grades and be around my friends. God I wish I could get that simplicity back, I'd never complain it was boring again. But I know I'm not going to ever get back my old life because well... I died. (Kinda) But I woke up. And I was thrilled, beyond grateful I wasn't dead. But then I realized that there was one minor detail that had changed about my reality. I was given the chance to live but it turns out I woke up as the villainess in an otome game my friend used to be obsessed with - Kingdom of freaking Hearts (I added the freaking in there for effect, it's just Kingdom of Hearts) Where, for the record, the villainess only has two possible endings 1) execution and 2) getting exiled. So Fate was like, "Don't worry, I'll save you. Here's a chance to live" and then was like "psyche, screw you. You're still going to die but I'll let you suffer a little first." So now, if only to annoy Fate by proving it wrong, I am determined to survive. I can and I will if I play by these simple rules: 1) Befriend Heroin 2) Avoid Aryn Edwards at All Costs as well as other capture targets And 3) Be the top student at the academy and become an invaluable asset to my Kingdom so I become indispensable, thus unkillable. I'm determined, stubborn, persistent and I will live passed 16. Fate made a big mistake setting me up to die. Since it threw this plot twist at me, I figure I'll return the favor. I'll be the biggest plot twist Fate never saw coming...

I made my way to the kitchen as usual and opened the fridge and grabbed a drink. My mom was usually in here,preparing a snack for my brother and I but today she wasn't. To think of it,it was too quiet around here I then proceeded to go upstairs to my room as I know my brother has soccer practise and my dad is at work. I walked upstairs and passed my father's office and I heard some talking I then heard laughing,a woman laughing to be specific "Scott stop!" She laughed once again And i knew that,that was not my mother's voice. My heart broke when I realised my dad didn't actually love my mother. He was a cheater and after this i lost all respect for him. I stood outside the door for a good 10 minutes debating whether I should storm In there or just keep quiet about the whole thing. The laughing and talking went on and I decided it would be best if I walked away. Tears threatened to fall as I went to my bedroom. I actually looked up to my father. He was my superman. He got himself a good job,a beautiful wife,and started a beautiful family...only to find out it was all a lie. Is his wife even his wife? Are we even his children? "Ain't no way I'm fallin for Spencer Trevan James" He can keep that deep drawl, infectious smile, and those lame dance moves to himself. Yeah we slept together not once but twice, but there won't be an third, especially after the way he dipped in the middle of the night without an word. (History) Hi my name is Serenity, and I have a secret I must tell, because you see I am immortal, which means that I cannot die no matter what, like for example you shoot 100 bullets at my heart I won't die. When I first realized I was immortal was when I was trying to save a friend but the bullet went right through my heart and killed her. Her name was Sarah, and she was the only person that accepted me being immortal. You see what happened was, she said that she was going to tell people that were scared of me that I was a normal person, but she said that to someone who really hated me and that was her brother, Ian, even though he may be hot, he can be a full on jerk. Nearly everyone at school knows that. But, the one thing I don't get is why he hates me. I can understands if he hated me after his sister died, but it didn't mean that he had to tell the police that I killed her, as I didn't, he did. He is such a bloody liar. One day I will get revenge on her, but that will happen once I get out of here. At the moment I am in jail, I've been telling the police that I didn't kill Sarah, but they still don't believe me. The chick in the cell next to me whose name was Raquel said that they won't believe anyone as they have heard too much shit from other prisoners. Raquel said that she did a pretty bad crime, and she been in prison for around 10 years. I am worried that I am going to have to stay for 10 years for something I didn't do. I swear Ian screwed up their minds as he has been in prison for 5 years; well that is what Raquel told me, as they used to be Boyfriend and Girlfriend, and they both did the same crime 10 years ago.Complete
