Virgil Bell lives in a small village and has a normal life, and he was fine with that. His father is a scientist and inventor, and even though not all the villagers like Virgil he doesn't care. He thought his only problem would be dealing with Lukas Gaston, the only other gay man in his village his age, but his life is turned upside down when he volunteers to take his fathers place as a prisoner in a castle that belongs to a beast.
I will display trigger warnings at the beginning of every chapter which will include blood, death, and abuse (none of the main characters do anything! All of the sides are sympathetic!)

Prince Roman of the Ironfelt Kingdom is well known for being a heroic, flirtatious man. Everyone respects him, and sees him as a mighty hero, however as much of a hero he is, he's lonely. His only real friend is his Royal Assistant Logan Crofters. Lord Virgil Anxiety of the Dark Forest is the ruler and protector of the dark forest. He's known more as a legend/myth to everyone outside the dark forest, or as a evil, vious ruler. But to the creatures in the forest, he's a kind, lonely protector that just needs a little love. His only friend is a village boy that visits him named Patton Morre. *Completed* After a near death experience, Roman can see strange things, things that don't make sense. Animals that died, strange creatures that roam about, and a strange hooded figure that seems so familiar. No one else can see these things, though these things can see them. They can affect them as well. Virgil hates cities, the bigger the city the more death there is, the more work he has to do. His job is to guide souls to the after life, or if they turn malevolent, cut them down. The moment he was assigned to a city, he already had a death to take care of. Except, it turned out to be a false alarm since the man survived. Virgil wouldn't have cared too much since it happens often, but now that man can see him and other spirits. The ships will be prinxiety, logicality, and demus I will display trigger warnings at the beginning for every chapter as needed, which will include death (human and animal), main character death (kinda? they just be a ghost, they're still in the story), possible gore, and cursing. *completed* Despite being only 17, Virgil's had a horrible life, living in an orphanage and being an outcast at school, and it just got even worse when he's kidnapped by a freaking cult! He thought he was dead for sure when they started sacrificing him to some demon, but apparently the demon chose to serve him since he was the one giving away his blood to summon them. Now he's stuck with a demon named Roman who will take his soul when he dies, yeah, that's probably the worst thing that's happen to him so far. Or so it seemed at first... The ships will be prinxiety, logicality, and demus because I'm basic I will display trigger warnings at the beginning for every chapter as needed, which will include bullying, gore, death (but not main character death), cults, lots of religious things (including a bit of Christianity), divorce, and cursing. Janus 'Deceit' Sanders and Remus 'Duke' Sanders have been bestfriends since the split, though Janus acted as the responsible, adult one despite being the same age. Remus had always been vocal about his feelings until Virgil left, calling him too emotional. Janus had always been the one to lock his feelings and emotions away never really showing them. He did this ever since he was a child, wanting to show little weakness and to be strong for the others. These both came with major consequences, Remus often found it difficult to voice his feelings out without getting mad at himself or someone else for how he was feeling. Janus had to find other ways to cope with his feelings, mostly unhealthy. But what happens when these two dorks fall for each other? I'll tell you, mutual pinning and miscommunication, with tons of angst with some hurt/comfort fluff. But when Virgil's family moves out of state, the theater-obsessed teen becomes determined to prove to Virgil, and himself, that he's more than just a villain to him. Will contain major triggers.
