Ten years ago, the New York royal family, the Schuylers, were assassinated in their Albany palace during a rebel uprising. All were confirmed to be dead, and the rebels who took over have been working their hardest to squash any rumors to the contrary. 
Despite these facts, a rumor has been circulating for years that the middle daughter, Princess Elizabeth Schuyler, may have somehow survived. Given hope by these rumors, her aunt, the Dowager Countess Gertrude Schuyler, has offered a reward of ten million dollars for her niece's safe return to her in Philadelphia. 
Back in the newly renamed Georgetown, Alexander Hamilton, John Laurens, and Aaron Burr are three conmen struggling to make ends meat now that society has been restructured. Ten million dollars would set them for life, and so they hatch a daring plan to find a girl who can pass for Elizabeth. 
Elsewhere, a girl called Beth, who was found lying in the snow ten years ago with no memories of her past, sets out to chase her mysterious dreams. A music box, dancing figures, and a woman telling her to "meet me in Philadelphia" all lurk just out of reach, and Beth is determined to find out what they mean.

A Hamilton AU where everything is the same except Alexander is a woman and she marries Elijah Schuyler. For the most part it is told from Aaron Burr's perspective, but that might change for certain chapters. I made this simply out of curiosity, and because I watched too many animatics, plus I thought it would be interesting to see how the story would play out with a female protagonist. The character interactions, lyrics, and overall plot could be impacted in many ways, and I'd like to see how that goes.
