"I watched him burn my mother alive. He stared at her like she was nothing. She wasn't a human life to him. She was a test subject that created a failure, and she was no longer any use to him. So he got rid of her. And he tried to get rid of me too."
He stares back at me, wide eyed and silent.
"But here I am. I was the failure."
I let out a breathy chuckle, shaking my head softly.
Not many people can render Katsuki Bakugou completely speechless. So maybe I should feel proud.
The silence between us is much louder than any of his famous rage screams. And truthfully, it says more to me than it doesn't.
"I'm sorry." He finally says, his voice dry and lacking emotion.
"Kill me." I spit out.
His body stiffens in front of me.
I take a step forward and he scrambles backwards, his back bumping into the wall behind him.
"If you don't kill me now, I will not stop. I promise you that I will never stop until the day that he is dead at my feet."
I watch his chest move faster as he looks back at me with panicked eyes.
"Kitsune- I-" He fumbles over his words.
I spin around quickly, grabbing my coat and heading towards the door.
"Then you're weak."
His apartment fills with nothing but the clacking of my boot heels against the floor as I make my leave.
When I reach his door handle, I pause to turn and face him.
My heart has once again grown cold. The man standing in front of me with bewildered eyes is now someone I no longer care to know.
He's officially just another obstacle blocking the way to my goal.
"I'm coming for him Katsuki. And anyone who gets in my way."
He takes a small step forward, his lips parting as if he wants to say something.
I put my hand up to stop him. He won't say what I want to hear. So there's simply no point.
"And that includes you."
