Reva is brought to the hospital due to an accident where she takes her last breath thinking that she has no memorable moments in her life. Reva has not lived her life to the fullest. It was Edith's third life. First she was a poor hardworking girl lost under the pressure of work in the modern world of airplanes and computers but then she died.... Was this to avoid death or her lover? She couldn't really say but the only thing was some characters were now different from the initial novel plot especially Derek whom she loved.
