Some people left to take their chances in the new wild but those who were left spent hours pondering solutions as the power dwindled and the life-force faded. Only when the people who were left out to face the sun found the bases did they find a solution. The outsiders were deranged and barely human, changed by the radiation of the sun, they were taken into the bases and were sedated and hooked up to the power source.
