Sumaya lay on the table while the seven of us stood in a circle around her with just the tips of our fingers under her. We chanted "light as feather, firm as a rock" and waited for her to soar up. Then we all screamed out, because Megan didn't just rise up she... turned into a feather, a very hard feather. We did not read the fine print on the bottom of the paper, which told us how to make people float. It said that if the person turns into feather, go to the back of the book. All of a sudden, we heard a knock on the door. It was Nick, Megan's dad. "What are we going to do?" we all whispered.

"Is she breathing?" a male voice asked. It didn't sound familiar at all, so it was probably a police officer or medic. Then again, nothing sounded familiar right now. I could hear screaming and crying all around me. I felt soaking wet and hot at the same time, which I didn't think was possible and I could feel someone gently shaking me. "Uggggnnnnnmmm," I groaned. "She's alive! Come on kid, wake up," another man exclaimed. "Nooooooooooo," I groaned again. I felt so tired, I just wanted to go back to sleep, but whoever was shaking me wouldn't stop. My eyes slowly opened, squinting at the bright lights that were shining all around me. Two men were hovering over me and they weren't who I thought they would be.
